SpeakerPal
The Mobile/Desktop app was created to facilitate real-time, uninterrupted communication between speakers and their audience. It allows audience members to ask questions without disrupting the speaker's presentation, and the unique feature of queuing questions for later responses enhances flexibility. The app aims to create a more human connection between speakers and their audience by leveraging technology to foster seamless and respectful communication, ultimately enhancing the overall engagement experience for both parties.
The Challenge
Many speakers face limitations in addressing every question from the audience, primarily due to constraints such as time restrictions. Similarly, the audience encounters difficulties in posing questions, often constrained by the same limitation of time. This creates a disconnect where valuable queries remain unanswered, and the full potential for dynamic interaction between speakers and the audience is hindered. The problem essentially lies in the inherent time constraints that impede a more comprehensive and engaging exchange of ideas during events or presentations.
The Solution
The solution addresses the challenge by creating a dedicated space for both speakers and the audience. It allows real-time recording and answering of questions, providing flexibility for speakers. Additionally, the platform stores questions for future reference and feedback, enhancing the overall interaction and ensuring valuable inquiries are captured and addressed.
Speakers
Have the capability to initiate a session by specifying the date and time. Upon creating the session, an automatic generation of a unique QR code occurs. This QR code serves as the seamless connection point between speakers and their audience. Attendees can easily scan the QR code to establish a direct link with the ongoing session, simplifying the process and enhancing accessibility for a more engaging and efficient interaction between the two parties.
Speakers enjoy the convenience of effortlessly accessing any specific session by simply entering the automatically generated 4-digit code associated with the QR code created during the session setup. This streamlined process ensures quick and straightforward login, enabling speakers to seamlessly connect with their designated sessions, promoting efficiency and facilitating a smooth transition into the interactive platform.
Audience
Audience members have two convenient options for accessing the session. They can either scan the QR code prominently displayed upon arriving at the speech venue or enter the 4-digit code when logging in online. This flexibility ensures accessibility for both in-person attendees and those participating remotely, creating a seamless and inclusive experience for the audience regardless of their location.
Different Designs
We underwent an exploration of various themes and designs, navigating through different visual concepts to reach a consensus on the preferred style. This iterative process involved collaborative discussions and assessments, allowing us to collectively determine the most fitting and agreeable aesthetic direction for our project.
Reflection
This project presented a valuable learning experience for me, requiring the adaptation of my design style to align with the diverse tastes of collaborators. Embracing this challenge was not only necessary but also refreshing, as it prompted me to explore and integrate various perspectives. The process of harmonizing different design preferences ultimately enriched the project, fostering a collaborative and dynamic creative environment.
